Looks like I have my work cut out for me!  Better get busy so I can get the completed projects for sale posted on my facebook page.....http://www.facebook.com/GrandmaGertiesAttic
Here is the top half to a desk that will be getting a makeover real soon along with various other items seen here in the picture.
A coffee table and two end tables that are almost done.  Just a couple more steps and they will be complete!
And a pile of small and medium sized items that will soon be available for purchase.

8th Annual "Junkfest" Carrington, ND

Tomorrow I will be attending the 8th annual "Junkfest" in Carrington, ND.  I have not made it every year unfortunately but I really do try to get there.  Many neat items to see and become inspired by the endless things you can do with a little bit of "junk"!

Fall is here!

Once again it has been a long time since I have posted anything!  Its been a busy summer and now that things are starting to wind down I hope to get to my blog more.  I think fall is my favorite time of year with all the beautiful colors that we get to see.

Remember what you are thankful for!

I cant believe it has been at least 5 days since I have even thought about posting something on here!  Time goes by way too fast when you are having fun:)  Well here is what I have been having fun doing.  We had a silent auction/spaghetti feed for my dad this last Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus in our town.  He was diagnosed with Lymphoma in August of 2011.  We ended up having just under 200 items for the silent auction.  The businesses and individual parties in our town were very generous with all of their donations.  It was great to see how supportive a community can be.  It is estimated that we had about 450 people come through the door to get a plate of spaghetti and to check out all of the items.  Overall it was a great turnout and proceeds will be partially matched by Thrivent.  Thank you to everyone who helped out with this event, your support is greatly appreciated.
Here are just a few of the items that were part of the silent auction
